About the Author

Wendell Edwards is an Associate Professor of Architecture at New York City College of Technology, in Brooklyn, New York. He received a B’ Arch Degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and a Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Design from Columbia University in New York. He holds a PhD in an unrelated field. He is a practicing registered Architect in New York State and South Carolina. He has been the project Architect at HKA, Inc., for various projects that involved intricate mechanical and electrical systems such as Madison Square Garden Networks in New York, USA Networks in New Jersey, National Basketball Association in New Jersey, CW 11 in New York, NY News 1 in New York, Major League Baseball in New York and the NBC Studios Hub for the Atlanta Olympics. He served as a consultant for other projects such as a Nickelodeon Studios in Florida. He has taught an architectural course on Building Systems for the past 12 years and has conducted seminars for the Atlanta and Miami AIA Chapters in preparing Architectural Interns for the MEP/ Building Systems License Exams. He spoke at the 2007 San Antonio, Texas AIA National Convention on the topic.
